Summer Dance and Movement Camps 2018!
A super fun and active full day of dance, acrobatics and choreography, including crafts and a visit to nearby Balboa Park (weather permitting) for lunch and play time. Different weeks focus on a different theme, such as ballet or contemporary dance. There will be a showing at the end of each camp week. Pre care and after care will be available for all camps.
June 7 & 8 Two day movement sampler camp, contemporary, jazz, ballet, acro (suggested ages, 4-15)
June 11-15 Ballet Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 4-12)
June 25-29 Contemporary Dance Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 7-15)
July 30-August 3 Ballet Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 4-12)
August 6-10 Contemporary Dance Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 7-15)
Pre care and after care is available, $120/week for after care, $60/week for pre care, $24/day for after care, $12/day for pre care.
Alyce Finwall is the Director of Moving Arts Studio. She has over 20 years of experience performing professionally in New York, Washington DC, Minneapolis and San Francisco. She is a recognized choreographer and teaches dance to all levels, as well as acrobatics. Alyce is an American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher and holds an MFA in Dance from Mills College. She is an adjunct professor of dance at Santa Rosa Junior College, and has guest taught at many colleges and pre-professional programs. She is the proud mother of two young girls who also love to dance and tumble around!
Alyssandra Katherine Wu is a freelance choreographer, dancer, and performance artist whose works reference social issues that are current, relevant, and deeply personal. She currently holds an M.A. in Dance from London Contemporary Dance School and a B.A. in World Arts & Culture/Dance from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has danced for several well-known choreographers, including Victoria Marks, Cheng-Chieh Yu, Michel Kouakou, Ros Warby, Jorge Crecis, and Darren Ellis. Since her relocation to the Bay Area, Alyssandra has served on the Dancers' Group CA$H Grant Panel, Pushfest 2017 Panel, and is the Managing Director of world renown dance company Robert Moses' Kin. Her work has premiered at both U.S. and U.K. based dance platforms.
Reservations and Payment
Reservations may be made online by selecting the week of camp or pre/after care option above; or by emailing email@example.com and making payment in person by check, cash, or credit card at the time of first drop off. If you are applying for a needs-based scholarship to attend one of our camps, click here to apply for consideration.
Promotional Discounts Policy: any promotional discounts are only eligible for full weeks of camp, through the online registration and payment process. They are not available for pre or after care. If you have a promotion code, you'll have the chance to enter it during checkout to have the discount applied. If you have seen a recent promotion and it's expired or shows no longer available, feel free to contact us, provide the code, and we may still be able to honor it depending on recency of the promotion and remaining availability.

Through April 30: Parents receive a full refund minus a $25 fee per session cancelled.
May 1st to June 1: Parents receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session.
After June 1: No refunds.
