2019 Camps

A super fun and active day of dance, acrobatics and choreography, including crafts and a visit to nearby Balboa Park (weather permitting) for lunch and play time. Pre care and after care will be available for all camps.

June 5-7, Half day camp (for ages 4-7)

June 10-14, Ballet Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 4-12)

June 17-21, Ballet Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 4-12)

July 15-19, Contemporary Dance Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 7-15)

August 12-16, Contemporary Dance Focus with Acro and Choreography (suggested ages, 7-15)

Pre care and after care is available, $160/week for after care, $80/week for pre care, $32/day for after care, $16/day for pre care.

INSTRUCTORS

Alyce Finwall is the Director of Moving Arts Studio. She has over 20 years of experience performing professionally in New York, Washington DC, Minneapolis and San Francisco. She is a recognized choreographer and teaches dance to all levels, as well as acrobatics. Alyce is an American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher and holds an MFA in Dance from Mills College. Please visit www.afdancetheater.org for more information about her choreographic work for Alyce Finwall Dance Theater. She is an adjunct professor of dance at Santa Rosa Junior College, and has guest taught at many colleges and pre-professional programs. She is the proud mother of two young girls who also love to dance and tumble around!

Alyssandra Katherine Wu received her bachelor’s degree in World Arts & Culture/Dance from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and master’s degree in Dance from London Contemporary Dance School. As an emerging choreographer, Wu has been listed on londondance.com as one of the most promising emerging choreographers of 2015. Furthermore, she was chosen as one of the favorite artists of the largest platform for emerging choreographers in the UK, by the UK Chairman of the Critics Circle Dance Section, Graham Watts. Her choreography has toured throughout the UK, being presented at platforms such as Resolution!, FRESH-Northeast, Foot Print, and EMERGE, hosted by UK’s Dance Company C-12. After relocating to San Francisco, Wu has presented work in both Los Angeles- and Bay Area-based locations. Her company is the official winner of the audience choice award for PUSHfest 2016 and one of the six companies/choreographers to be selected for ODC's Pilot 68 program this past year. In 2018, Wu's company has been invited to participate in the San Francisco Movement Arts Festival, RawDance's Concept Series 22, and Joe Goode's Feedback Series. She has received grants from the Fleishhacker Opportunity Fund and Dancers’ Group’s CA$H program.

Promotional Discounts Policy: any promotional discounts are only eligible for full weeks of camp, through the online registration and payment process. They are not available for pre or after care. If you have a promotion code, you'll have the chance to enter it during checkout to have the discount applied. Cancellation Policy for Spring Break Dance Camp

Holiday Camp 2018: Between November 15 and December 15: Parents receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee per session cancelled. Between December 16 and December 22: Parents receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session.After December 22: No refunds

Spring Break Camp 2019: Between January 1 and February 1: Parents receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee per session cancelled. Between February 3 and March 1: Parents receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session. After March 1: No refunds

Summer Camps: Through April 30: Parents receive a full refund minus a $25 fee per session cancelled. May 1st to June 1: Parents receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session. After June 1: No refunds
